Module
The term 'Module' relates to the size of gear teeth. For a standard spur gear, the 'Module' is the Pitch Diameter divided by the number of Teet:.
Normal Module
The Normal Module is measured orthogonal to the gear teeth. The image below shows a cross sectional view of a 30 tooth gear with a 30° helix angle cut at 30°.

Axial Module
Axial module is the module measured along the axis of the gear. The image below shows a cross sectional view of a 30 tooth gear with a 30° helix angle cut at 90° to the gear axis.

Radial Module
The radial module is measured perpendicular to the gear axis.The image below shows a cross sectional view of a 30 tooth gear with a 30° helix angle cut in line with the gear axis.
